VINATech has developed a new ultracapacitor solution of VET Series which will be particularly ideal for Internet of Things and Advanced Metering Infrastructure applications based on the developed NEO Anti Wetting technology by its own R&D lab.

The VET Series Ultracapacitors provide a range of Capacitance from 3.3farads to 15farads at 2.7v and also 2 series ultracapacitor modules and custom design modules will be launched imminently. Ultracapacitor samples are now available and Mass Productions starts from the second quarter of 2020.

Until recently, managing high temperatures was handled by de-rating actual working voltage of standard + 65℃ ultracapacitor types, however, the new VET series of Ultracapacitor uses VINATech Anti Wetting technologies to enable a robust lifetime at 85℃ of 1000hours in 85% relative humidity at a full 2.7v dc working voltage. The new VET ultracapacitor series also boasts significant Leakage Current improvements, ESR stability over time and Capacitance performance when compared to other de-rated 85℃ types on the market to date. The expected lifetime of 500,000 full charge and discharge cycles can be expected.

Humidity challenges will also be handled as the VET series of Ultracapacitor utilises benefits from the Anti Wetting technology and can withstand higher than average humidity levels.
